Olivier Morali, CEO
Olivier Morali is a serial transformative direct investor. He has enjoyed a successful 20-year track record at Apax Partners and Bregal Capital, which has enabled him to generate the capital he has pooled with that of the Plaquet family. He was a first-round investor in Galapagos NV (GLPG) and a co-lead investor in Corevalve (sold to Medtronic). He was the co-founder and acted as chairman of Studialis to create the European leader in Higher Education. He was also closely involved with the initial consolidation of private hospitals by Vedici, which led to the formation of the French leader Elsan and the carve-out of Morrison Utility Services from Anglian Water. Overall, Olivier’s investments led to national or continental leaders and generated c. 3x with no loss.
He is a member of the advisory committees of TR Capital IV and V, KLAR Partners I, Impilo II, DC Capital Partners III and Bregal Milestone II.
Olivier holds a PhD in oncology and is a former associate professor in biochemistry from Paris University and a graduate of ENS Paris-Saclay.
